Hertfordshire Community Foundation
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hertfordshire Community Foundation offers a professional, flexible service to help donors, whether individuals, companies or trusts as well as public authorities and agencies, to achieve their charitable giving objectives, whatever the area of interest or level of giving.
We make grants to charities and voluntary groups, both new initiatives and existing projects, which aim to improve the quality of life for people living in Hertfordshire.
We manage over 90 different funds, all of which aim to tackle deprivation and improve social welfare in Hertfordshire, some of which are tailored more specifically to the interests of our donors. It’s our job to match the funds available with the needs in the county and we do it by encouraging, and in some cases actively seeking out, applications.
The majority of our grant making is to small community groups with an income of less than £100,000 working for the benefit of people in Hertfordshire. You don’t have to be a registered charity but you do have to be a properly constituted group carrying out legally charitable work.
We do have funds available for individuals but these are restricted to very specific situations.
